Architecture

This is the heart of DesignGroup's services to clients. Our architectural expressions provide a clear sense of entry, cohesive logic, consistency of detail, and orderly progression of spaces. Designing toward unity of interior and exterior space produces a cohesive environment that expresses function clearly. Interior Design

DesignGroup is comprised of multidisciplinary interior designers and licensed architects working together to provide clients with interior design solutions. DesignGroup professionals have substantial depth and expertise in each of the firm's markets. We are actively involved in every phase of project development to ensure high quality design.

Graphic Design

Graphics at DesignGroup focuses on visual communication and presentation through print and environmental design. We pair our graphic design with that of our planners, architects, and interior designers to explore all dimensions of a client's brand. We believe that integrated design and consistency of detail result in a cohesive environment. Graphic design at DesignGroup includes all aspects of wayfinding and signage, communicating identity and brands, information design, and shaping a sense of place.

Sustainable Design

DesignGroup is widely recognized as a leader in sustainable design and we strive to serve our clients while utilizing the core principles of sustainable design. These core principles are integrated into the process for every DesignGroup project. Long before the LEED rating system existed, Jack Hedge, LEED AP and design principal, was designing buildings that take advantage of orientation, optimize day-lighting, use "green" materials, challenge the performance of HVAC systems, and employ sustainable site techniques.

Building Information Modeling (BIM)

DesignGroup’s working method has undergone a valuable process evolution through the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Over the past few years DesignGroup’s BIM expertise has grown to the point that 100% of our new work is designed in a BIM environment. This transformation has allowed new technologies to be fully integrated into our design processes. Utilizing Revit Architecture from the earliest stages of a project, our project teams are able to develop larger amounts of design information, with more efficiency, accuracy, and with greater visual communication ability than ever before. With information produced and available immediately, design decisions can be made earlier when they have the most positive impact on the project’s success.

LEED Program Management

Coordinating and managing the LEED Certification process can be a very complex and challenging endeavor, especially for the first time. DesignGroup has developed a LEED Program Management Plan that immediately addresses the owner’s goals for the project, ensures a coordinated collaboration from schematic design to proper submittal documentation to certification and streamlines the process so that all parties are clearly engaged in the successful certification of the project.
