The Exploring Program is a national career education program which provides hands-on activities in a particular career field for young students who are 14 to 21 years old. In Columbus alone, the Exploring Program partners with 40 businesses and organizations to provide a variety of experiences for students to explore their career interests during their high school years. The programs offered range from the Arts and Humanities, to Engineering and Technology, to Skilled Trades. The Columbus AIA, which is a Chapter of The American Institute of Architects, happens to be one of the partners of the Columbus Exploring Program. The derivative, the Exploring Architecture Post 909, offers a series of lectures and engaging activities for high school students who are interested in the field of architecture, design, and the related industry.
