The May program from DESIGN [realized] titled “The Art of Visualization in the BIM Environment” is coming up on May 17^th at DesignGroup’s office from 3:00-5:00 pm ET.

Visualizing an architectural project as if it were built has many benefits such as providing the client with a glimpse into the future, a method for reviewing design objectives and concepts, and as a communication tool for the contractor and consultants. Making a visualization really come to life is a true art form.

DesignGroup will be hosting the next Design[realized] program on April 19^th from 3:00- 5:00 tilted BIM-Enabled Set-Based Design for Net Zero Energy Buildings. The presenter, Andreas Phelps, the Integrated Projects Executive from Balfour Beatty will discuss how “net-zero” buildings are the new frontier for sustainability.  In order to realize these ambitious goals, Andreas will discuss the need to integrate technology (BIM) and process innovations (lean design techniques) so that we can effectively manage the comprehensiveness and complexity of these projects.

DESIGN realized at DesignGroup - Eco-Responsible Design: How to Analyze a Project for Performance Goals

We’re excited to announce that DesignGroup will again serve as the Columbus venue for the 2012 multi-venue hybrid events from DESIGN [realized]. The next group of presentations will focus on Eco-Responsible Design and will start on Thursday March 15th with a session titled “How to Analyze a Project for Performance Goals”.
