The December 2011 issue of Marketer from SMPS interviewed a series of forward thinking and technology savvy AEC professionals from around the country to capture their thoughts on the biggest “tech trends” of 2011 along with what they expect to see in 2012. I was fortunate enough to be interviewed and my response to “What do you feel were the most significant technological evolutions of 2011?” was highlighted in the final publication. While BIM continues to not only provide the mentioned process integration, it brings tremendous value as a sustaining innovation able to create competitive advantages for the design firms who are embracing these new technologies and processes.
